My Current Playlist

This post is totally inspired by Annie’s Ultimate Playlist posts, which are just awesome. This is just a collection of a lot of the music I’ve been listening to lately, because even though I have a dreadful singing voice and basically no musical ability, I do love listening to music.

Pumpin’ Blood – Nonono (I also love the Glee version of this, so I’ve included both below…)
This song is weirdly upbeat and laid back at the same time. And I love the whistling behind the whole thing.

Runaway – Ed Sheeran
I have a ton of Ed Sheeran songs on iTunes but I only listen to a few. This one just made the rotation.

Everybody Talks – Neon Trees
This song is just so catchy and happy and gets you totally pumped.

The Scientist – Coldplay (once again, I’m also a fan of the Glee version)
Oh my god, this song is so sad and heartbreaking. I love it.

Fast Car – Tracy Chapman (additionally, this cover is beautiful…)
I’ve always loved this song and recently I’ve started learning how to play it on the guitar. I think it’s absolutely beautiful and so unique. I have to say I listen to this cover (below) even more than I listen to the original song.

‘Till Kingdom Come – Coldplay
I’m a big Coldplay fan. I think everything they do is pretty much genius. I just heard this song recently but I love it.

Okay so this is totally different from everything else on my list. My friend recently posted four covers she did, with her playing the ukelele/guitar and singing. She’s pretty much told us for years that she can’t sing, but it turns out she’s been telling a big fat lie because she is amaaazing. I’ve had her covers on replay for days now. She goes by the name BLANKTS (no, that’s obviously not her real name) and you can find her stuff on Soundcloud (but I’ve embedded it all below).

That’s basically what I’ve been listening to this month. Do you guys like any of these songs? Or have an recommendations for me? I’m always looking for new music!

Do you have Spotify because I really love your taste in music <333 I'm obsessed with Magic by Coldplay and I've been listening to Haim a lot. My favorite is Falling πŸ™‚

I’ve never gotten Spotify because you couldn’t get it in Canada before, but I just checked and I think they changed it, so I’ll have to get it! Thank you <3 And I need to listen to Magic now!

I’ve been listening to a lot of Ed Sheeran lately too. x) But I’m still stuck on I See Fire and Little Bird (I think that’s what it’s called…gosh, I can’t quite remember but it’s something about a bird XD) I need to listen to this one though. I’m hopeless when it comes to keeping up with music. YAY for Coldplay, though!

Thanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!

Ed Sheeran is so great. I also love Small Bump, Grade 8, Fire Alarms, Kiss Me, Give Me Love… lol so pretty much all of his songs haha.

I was so happy to see this post, like even before I clicked on it, I saw the title and was like YES. I love music posts and getting new songs to listen to and I need more music right now so this came at a great time!

I really don’t have any musical talent either. I’m not a horrible singer but I’m not freaking amazing which makes me sad because I would just LOVE to be one of those people who open their mouths and sing like it’s no big deal. But I do love music as well!

(And by the way, I’m really glad you like my music posts, they’re a lot of fun to make haha)

I haven’t heard either Pumpin’ Blood or Fast Car but they sound interesting! I saved them on a note so I can remember to listen to them later! But I do love Everybody Talks and The Scientist! And ahh that’s so cool about your friend! I saved it as well so I could listen to it later πŸ™‚ I love listening to covers and omg I see Jack Johnson + the ukelele — I can only imagine how fantastic that’ll be!

Omg yessss music. Hahah this was actually so fun to do and I’m already planning my next one. Oh my gosh, I’m such a bad singer but I wish I could sing! You totally have to listen to Pumpin’ Blood and Fast Car. They’re super different but both really good. πŸ™‚
