I’m going to keep this short and sweet because I don’t want to bore you with a long winded goodbye. In the past few months I’ve let this blog slide for a number of reasons. Mainly, school. I no longer have the time to read as much as I used to, which means it’s been increasingly tough to keep this blog going. Nonetheless, I’ve had an incredible almost 5 (!!) years of blogging on YA Booklover Blog, and despite dropping off the map the last couple of months, I still value and appreciate all the experiences this blog has allowed me to have. Blogging has taught me so much, and to everyone who’s ever taken the time to comment on one of my posts or send me a tweet/email/etc. – THANK YOU. You brightened my day. Also a huge thank you to all the publishers and authors who were so kind and gave me endless opportunities. But now, it’s time for me to go. I’m starting university in the fall, and I’m ready for the change. I can promise I’ll still be reading all your blogs though!

I started this blog when I was 13, in Grade 8. Now I’m graduating highschool and turning 18 and it’s crazy to think of how much time has passed. I’m not shutting down this blog completely because I do have another full year of hosting, but as for me, this is pretty much the end. It makes me sad to write this, but I’ve been putting it off for so long and I’m happy to finally just say that my time is over. I’ve had an amazing experience, and one day in the future I hope I’ll find myself blogging again.

OMG CHLOE HOW DID I MISS THIS POST?? I am so so so sorry to hear this because of course, you are one of my favourite people ever and this just makes me so sad. But also I UNDERSTAND and exactly like Audrey said, moving on to bigger and better things! Five years is a long time and it’s also crazy to think I’ve been reading your blog for three years. I am so fortunate to have met you through blogging so while this is a really sad moment for me, I also hope that we’ll be able to keep in touch over Twitter or even if it’s SLOW PIGEON CARRIER MAIL, I would be down with that. Also if you are at U of T perhaps we can meet up again one day and go to a bookstore or do something fun!

ANYWAY XO XO XO XO XO I’m wishing you all the best with your future endeavors! Much love, Annie <333

I missed this post because I was traveling 🙁
I’m sad to see you’re leaving but yes, off to bigger and better and shinier things! I’m glad I got a chance to know you through book blogging, and best of luck in uni! Let me know if you want to buy a used trin gown haha
I hope we can keep in touch via twitter of fb or something!

I only found your blog a few months ago, and I’ve really enjoyed reading it, so thanks, and good luck with university!

  • Jolien @ The Fictional Reader

I’m sorry to see that! But if you have lost your passion for blogging, there’s really no reason to go on. I wish you all of the best! Good luck -and congrats- with your graduation, and I hope you’ll discover many more amazing things in the years to come!

I’m sorry to see you go, Chloe. Your blog is one of the first book blogs I ever discovered!

But it does seem like blogging just isn’t your passion anymore, so this move makes sense.

I wish you all the best! Good luck finishing high school and moving onto whatever is next for you. 🙂

    • Chloe (YA Booklover Blog)

I’m sorry too, but I’ve definitely lost my passion for blogging. Thank you, I’m pretty excited to move on! 🙂

  • Michelle

Good luck in college and have the BEST time!!

    • Chloe (YA Booklover Blog)

      THANK YOU!!!

  • Aylee

Very sorry to hear this. I do absolutely understand where you’re coming from though. Will you still be around on various social medias at least? Or maybe I’ll run into you on the U of T campus someday.

    • Chloe (YA Booklover Blog)

I’ll definitely still be around on social media. And I totally hope we see each other at U of T! 🙂
