Review Policy

Interested in having me review your book on YA Booklover Blog? Great!

Before submitting your book for review, please read the following policy.

Books I accept for review:

  • Young adult books and some middle grade
  • I am open to almost any genre but my favourites are contemporary and historical fiction

Books I do not accept for review:

  • Self published books
  • Adult novels
  • Non-fiction
  • Erotica

I try to read and review books quickly, but school and real life often gets in the way. I cannot always guarantee the exact date my review will be published. However, if it is an ARC, I will try to have the review up the month the book is being released. If the book is already out it will take me a bit longer to get the review up. I will send you a link when the review is on the blog.

By accepting your book, I am not guaranteeing a review. If I find myself unable to finish your book, I will let you know, and if you like, I am happy to pass it on to another blogger for review (otherwise I will donate it). Please note that all my reviews are 100% honest, and I do post negative reviews from time to time if the book really wasn’t for me.

I am also open to hosting author interviews, giveaways, or guest posts (with or without a review).

If you would like to have your book reviewed, or are interested in a giveaway/interview/guest post, please email me at chloe.yabookloverblog@gmail.com. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

A short note about the actual reviews:

This bit is just for readers, although publishers/authors may want to check it out as well.

I’m hesitant to say that I “review” books, because I am not a professional reviewer. All I do is share my views on books in the hopes that other readers will take into consideration my opinion, and then form their own as well! I do not refer to myself as a professional or a book critic. I am just someone who loves to share their thoughts on books.

My reviews all have a rating at the end of the reviews. I rate the books on a scale of 1-5 birds, and I have a special 6 bird rating for those especially amazing books! On my sidebar you can see what each rating means.
