In My Mailbox #44

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren

*Yes, I know there as been a lot of controversy about whether it is right to continue participating in IMM, based on the acts of plagiarism committed by the hostess. But in the end, I decided I would not let that stop me from participating in one of my favourite memes. I do not in any way approve of what the hostess has done,  but I will continue to do IMM because I enjoy the meme, and I believe that even though it is created and hosted by said plagiarizing blogger, this is my own blog post with my own thoughts, and is unrelated to all the drama that has been going on.

I made another vlog this week!

The Unnaturalists by Tiffany Trent
Surrender (Possession #2) by Elana Johnson
Envy (Fury #2) by Elizabeth Miles

And then, on Saturday, I actually did make it out to the library, and I picked up 3 books:

The Dead-Tossed Waves (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #2) The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight A Spy in the House (The Agency, #1)

The Dead Tossed Waves (The Forests of Hands and Teeth #2) by Carrie Ryan
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
The Agency (#1) by Y.S. Lee

Even if you don’t agree with my choice to participate in IMM, please still leave a comment with your books this week! I’d love to check out your Mailbox Monday posts, or any other form of IMM posts! Happy reading!

Graffiti Moon Wanderlove The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1) Between Shades of Gray
Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowely – I’ve been waiting to get this book forever, and I am so excited to read it!
Wanderlove by Kirstin Hubbard – Again, been waiting to read this forever!
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mare Dyer #1) by Michelle Hodkin – I got an ARC of this book a long time ago but it was too damaged to be read. Then people on Twitter convinced me to buy a finished copy, so I did!
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys – If you visit the blog often, you’ll know that this was in my top 2 books last year and is in my top 3 books of all time. I LOVE this book! I had an ARC but I decided it was time to get a finished, hardcover copy!
Review
Teen Boat! Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1)
Teen Boat! by Dave Roman and John Green – This is a graphic novel; not something I usually read. I’m thinking of trading it, or maybe just giving it a shot. What do you think?
Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by Robin LaFevers (finished copy) – I already have an ARC of this that I am now looking to trade! Let me know if you’re interested!
That’s it for me this week! If your interested in trading for an ARC of Grave Mercy or Croak (not mentioned above), let me know! Also, on the subject of ARCs, I did a whole post about ARCs for new bloggers yesterday, so you should check that out!

This week I filmed a video, but I’m still figuring out how to edit them properly, so I decided to go with a picture instead… Turns out my camera isn’t quite the best (or I just don’t know how to use it), but I made do. I was playing around with Pixlr, so there are 2 different edits down there, just for fun.
For Review:
Burden of the Soul by Kate Grace

Bought:
Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince (DVD)

Borrowed:
The Taming by Eric Walters, Teresa Toten (ARC)

Well that’s it for me this week… What did you get in your mailbox?

This week I only got one book, so I decided to skip a video. But the book is one that I’ve had on my wishlist for a loooong time! I’m reading it now and it’s amazing!

A Monster Calls

A Monster Calls

The book is beautiful, with glossy pages and illustrations everywhere, like they’re running off the pages! Also, when you take off the book jacket there is a beautiful blue sky obscured by black tree branches, with a glowing moon in the back ground.

So, what did you get in your mailbox this week? Let me know in the comments or leave me a link!

PS, I reached 1000 followers last night, and I just wanted to say a quick thank you to anyone who reads this blog, or follows me on Twitter, or takes the time to comment! I can’t thank you enough!
